FORUM® Clinical Displays
Fast access to clinically relevant data plays an increasingly important role in eye care today. FORUM greatly facilitates clinical case visualization by preparing ophthalmic data and images for case-specific reviews.
The FORUM® Clinical Displays for glaucoma automatically select relevant documents and images and visualize them in clinically meaningful views.
Clinical Displays for Glaucoma
FORUM® Clinical Displays offer specific clinical views. The benefits for clinical users include:
- Case-specific pre-selection of data and clinical views
- Saves time in finding relevant reports and priors
- Combines Visual Field reports, OCT reports and fundus images into a single screen
- Also includes the single page HFA-CIRRUS Combined Report
FORUM® Clinical Displays are specifically designed for clinicians to optimize their day-to-day workflow.

FORUM® Archive & Viewer
Comprehensive eye care data management for better workflow efficiency
Your Challenge
Clinical excellence and workflow efficiency greatly depends on the ability to effectively manage, access and review data from different modalities and multiple patient visits. Over time, practices face the task of having to manage ever larger volumes of data. Yet it is essential to continue to be able to have immediate access to clinically relevant information – wherever and whenever you need it.
Our FORUM® Solution
The FORUM® Archive & Viewer eye care data management system streamlines practice workflow by providing access to all patient examinations – both locally and remotely. It facilitates assessments with case-specific clinical applications. Take, for example, the new FORUM® Glaucoma Workplace, which automatically prepares relevant information from the HFA™ II-i. With FORUM, HFA II-i and CIRRUS HD-OCT data can be seen in one combined report – both structure and function data. Using recognized standards such as DICOM and HL7, FORUM Archive & Viewer integrates seamlessly with existing practice IT landscapes (e.g. EMRs) and diagnostic instruments.
Outstanding Features
- Completely paperless data flow increases workflow efficiency and saves time, space and money
- FORUM® Viewer provides immediate access to all patient data
- Examination data is presented in clinically relevant ways (e.g. with the clinical displays)
- The new FORUM® Glaucoma Workplace provides interactive visual field analyses
- Access your patient data wherever you want with the FORUM® Viewer App for the iPad
- Standard-based (DICOM) communication ensures data consistency across all diagnostic instruments and systems
- Integration with Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Practice Management and Hospital Information Systems (HIS) via standard (e.g. HL7) and proprietary interfaces
- Connects both DICOM and non-DICOM instruments from Carl Zeiss as well as other manufacturers
- Multi-site architecture support for fast and convenient data access and exchange between different practice sites
- FORUM® Viewer runs on Windows and Mac operating systems, offering you maximum flexibility.
FORUM® Viewer App
Review patient data wherever you want
Your Challenge
In the mobile world we live in, easy access to information is absolutely crucial. Ophthalmology is no exception. Eye care professionals like yourself are increasingly mobile too. You have a growing demand for mobile solutions capable of providing workflow support beyond the eye care facility. For example, the ability to access patient examination data whenever and wherever needed offers greater flexibility in structuring your day.
Our FORUM® Solution
The FORUM Viewer App for iPad enables you to flexibly access and display patient data and records stored in the FORUM® Archive – at your convenience. It further expands your FORUM options, allowing you to preview examination data wherever and whenever you want prior to seeing a patient. You can conveniently display results during a patient consultation, discuss a case with a colleague, or review examination findings and reports from any location.
FORUM Archive
Central storage solution for ophthalmic exam data
Your Challenge
To move away from paper-based archiving of diagnostic exam data, eye care practices and institutions are looking for centralized electronic archiving solutions that provide data safety and compatibility with other viewing or archiving systems.
There is also the need for multiple diagnostic instruments to share raw data through a central database for increased flexibility. By enabling this data share, patient exams and their analysis (e.g. progression analyses) function independent of the individual instrument.
Our FORUM® Solution
FORUM® Archive centrally stores DICOM examination data from multiple diagnostic instruments, making it a true ophthalmic Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
As such, it also stores the raw data of ZEISS OCT instruments (e.g. CIRRUS HD-OCT) and visual field analyzers (Humphrey® Field Analyzer/HFA II-i), enabling access to all examination data from any instrument and Review software – regardless of which instrument a patient was examined on. FORUM Archive provides data safety and consistency across the board and is particularly useful for practices working with multiple CIRRUS OCTs or HFAs.
Outstanding Features
Centrally stores diagnostic data from ophthalmic DICOM instruments and integrates with other DICOM software systems Centrally stores raw data from ZEISS OCTs (e.g. CIRRUS HD-OCT) and visual field analyzers (Humphrey Field Analyzer/HFA-II-i) Enables retrieval of all examination data from ophthalmic instrument or Review workplace Enables instrument-independent raw data analysis by providing raw data access e.g. for CIRRUS HD-OCT Review software Backup functionality ensures data security and integrity
